Oh, dear soul—
The pain of discovering you are not another’s ideal,
not their first choice,
cuts deep.
Reality stings,
and their distance can echo
like a verdict on your worth.
Tears will come.
Grief will rise like a tide,
and the ache of loss
will burn through your chest.
But hear me—
and let me remind myself too:
The person you are is greatly needed and deeply loved.
And if not yet by another,
then first and foremost,
by yourself.
If someone truly cares,
you will never have to wonder.
If someone truly values you,
you will never have to chase.
Time, love, and energy are sacred privileges—
never debts to be repaid in self‑betrayal.
They are meant to be shared with the steady,
not spent on the uncertain.
Stop answering to inconsistent energy.
Stop bending yourself toward uncertainty.
Your heart is not a home
for shifting intentions.
If someone truly wants you in their life,
you will never be left questioning your place in it.
If they are only chasing to win you,
and not to keep you,
that is not love—
it is performance.
And performance never lasts.
Some are addicted to the thrill of pursuit,

or love.
So disappear, dear girl,
